About the Global Foundation for Human Aging Research

The Global Foundation for Human Aging Research (GFHAR) is a nonprofit organization committed to accelerating the science and application of advanced medical technologies that target the biological causes of aging. Our mission is to fund and support groundbreaking research and development in gene therapy, cell therapy, regenerative medicine, and other next-generation interventions designed to extend human healthspan and reverse age-related decline.

We believe that aging is not inevitable—it is a condition that can and should be studied, understood, and treated at its biological core. Every day, brilliant researchers and visionary clinicians uncover therapies that have the potential to prevent or even reverse the effects of aging. But many of these discoveries face a common obstacle: lack of funding and infrastructure to bring them from the lab to the clinic. That’s where we come in.

The Foundation

According to Dr. Giampapa, the main focus of the Foudation is to address the global aging dilemma, which will become the main planetary issue in the next decade. His research efforts as well as those of key companies the Foundation donates to, all seek to improve the health of the world’s aging seniors, and at the same time reduce healthcare costs. The goal is to treat the cause of age related diseases not the symptoms, which is what the present healthcare model does.

Dr Giampapa and his Foundation’s efforts envision accomplishing this through the use of the power of Stem Cells and their cellular products. This research and as well as aging therapy is founded on the new science of Epigenetics and repair of our cellular DNA as we age. The Foundation has also focused on creating a new BioBanking system based on healthy young cells that can be used later in ones life to help maintain youthful function and enhanced quality of life.

Collecting and storing stem cells for both young and older adults will become the core of the medicine of the future. Extended periods of human health and function will become one of the main goals of the medicine of the future. Please consider helping us move these essential areas of research forward through your tax free donations.

Our Vision

We envision a future where the diseases of aging—such as Alzheimer’s, cardiovascular disease, frailty, and immune decline—are not inevitable outcomes, but treatable and preventable conditions. A future where people can live longer, healthier lives with vitality, purpose, and dignity.

At GFHAR, we are not simply funding science. We are building the infrastructure of a new era in medicine—one where aging is redefined, and the human lifespan is no longer limited by biology as we know it

Why The Global Foundation for Human Aging Research Is Vital to the Future of Human Health

The Global Foundation for Human Aging Research exists because the most significant risk factor for nearly every chronic disease—Alzheimer’s, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, frailty—is aging itself. Yet for decades, science and medicine have treated aging as an inevitable process rather than a biological condition that can be slowed, repaired, or even reversed.

Our foundation is important because it shifts the paradigm: from managing symptoms of aging to targeting its root causes. By funding transformative research in gene therapy, cell therapy, and regenerative medicine, we are investing in a future where longer life means more healthy years, not just more years of decline.

In an era where breakthroughs in biotechnology are accelerating faster than public funding or policy can keep up, our role is urgent. The Global Foundation for Human Aging Research fills a critical gap—ensuring that life-extending therapies are supported, validated, and made accessible to people around the world.
This isn’t just about longevity. It’s about empowering people to live free from the suffering and limitations of age-related disease. Supporting aging research is the most impactful investment we can make in the future of human health.
